About

Since January of 2010 Ian has been working as a freelance digital media artist, primarily for Sebago Technics, producing photo simulations and awareness videos. In 2016 he served as an instructor for CG modeling, video production and 3D Printing.

Previously Ian completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts in Visual Effects from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), in Savannah, Georgia while working as a freelance artist, production assistant, production coordinator and visual effects producer/supervisor on thesis and independent films (DeckTechs, Holy Rollin' Music Video, The Butterfly Dancer , Nature of Life and The Space Jockey Pursuit).

Ian's thesis work resulted from a personal project requiring a rig with the ability to morph. Extensive research and development on new processes of character rigging for transformations resulted in what he has labeled Morphologic Rigging and Deformation, a new process paradigm.
